And a little toyhouse…

When I was pregnant with my first child, my aunt gave me a copy of Goodnight Moon with the following inscription:

“For all the wonderful reading times to come.”

It was the very first book I read to my daughter.  I read it to her before I even met her, while she was still a tiny little peanut growing in my belly.  It truly was the beginning of wonderful times to come – of reading together and so much more.

A lot has changed since the day we turned that first page together.  Our family moved across the country, I left my job of seven years to pursue freelancing and more time at home, and we welcomed a new baby into our lives. Life today is more full and more beautiful than I ever could have imagined.  So much so that sometimes I feel like we might just be living in a little toyhouse.
